Due to the volume of entries and the logistics involved the UCL tournament on the 15th has imposed a limit of 80 players, and created a wait list for other entrants. If you are affected you should be contacted by the organiser.

If you have entered but now will not be there please inform the organiser as soon as possible, as that will make space for someone who would not otherwise be able to play.

The Winter 2022-23 edition of the BGJ is now available for members to read in the Members' Area, with printed copies having being sent out to those that receive them.

The 2023 AGM will be held online by ZOOM at 20:00 on Thursday 20th April 2023. A meeting link will be issued shortly before the meeting.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This year as part of the transfer to incorporated status, two AGMs will be held on the same evening, using the same ZOOM session. The structure will be:

1. AGM of the unincorporated Association. This will include a final motion to dissolve the old Association, as the assets will have been transferred to the new incorporated body - as agreed in the 2022 AGM.

Early entries would be of great assistance to the organisers.

We have been warned that accommodation in Belfast will be busy that weekend (due to an Elton John concert) so early booking of rooms is recommended.

Just a reminder that this weekend, 20/21 August, sees the first two matches in the best of 3 between Gaoge Wang and Bruno Poltronieri for the 2022 British Championship.

They start at 12:00 each day and will be streamed live on the London Go Centre YouTube channel. Please do look in sometime over the weekend. The time limits are quite long so the matches are likely to run for several hours.

Matthew Macfadyen will be providing a commentary which we hope to be on KGS. Matthew will also be answering questions on the YouTube channel, so may well advertise the KGS event there.

The BGA AGM will be held online by ZOOM at 19:30 on Thursday 26th May 2022. An invite will be created and published a week or so before the meeting.

Any member’s resolutions are to be submitted to the BGA Secretary (secretary @ britgo.org) not later than Thursday 14th April 2022. Each such item will require the support of two BGA members.

The agenda will be published to members via the website no later than Thursday 28th April 2022.
