European Youth Go Team Championship: 2014-2015
This is the report for the first EYGTC. Since then, the UK has fielded teams in each season. The UK had a national youth team in the first European Youth Go Team Championship, that for 2014 - 2015.
This was played online on KGS over five rounds on Saturday afternoons between November 2014 and February 2015. 13 country and regional teams took part.
We had a national youth squad of 12 players, under BGA UK Youth Squad Manager Alison Bexfield, from which we selected 5 players for each match, one of whom must be U20, two U16 and two U12. Well done to the 12 players who were selected and took part:

Pandanet Go European Team Championship 2014/2015

This is the 5th season of a team competition played online on Pandanet (IGS) in its own room called "EuropeanTeamChamp". Pandanet sponsor the League and the top four teams in the top division attending over-the-board finals at the European Go Congress.
The UK team is captained by Chris Bryant. Matches are four players a side, made up of available players from the registered team. The league is split into three divisions, originally by average rating of the best team members, but with promotion/demotion from last year. The UK is in the C League, as last year. Games are played every three weeks or so.

Andrew Kay 24th at WAGC
— Tony AtkinsAndrew Kay ended 24th with 4 wins in the World Amateur in Sendai. He lost to Korea, beat Turkey, lost to Switzerland and beat New Zealand. In round 5 he beat Indonesia, then lost to Israel and Sweden, and beat Slovenia.
James Hutchinson for Ireland also won 4 and took 31st. He beat Belarus, Portugal, Bulgaria and Italy, but lost to France, Sweden, Lithuania and Denmark.
Unbeaten winner was Choi Hyunjae of Korea and Hu Yuqing of China was second with 7 wins. The group on six wins was Artem Kachanovskyi (UA), Ilja Shikshin (RU), Pavol Lisy (SK), Kwan King Man (HK), Nikola Mitic (RS). Japan came 8th.
